So I will quickly tell you I had tons of fun at Sonyas on Thursday night alhamdulillah, there was a girl there I wasnt expecting masha'allah and I got to meet a new sister who Ive known online for a little while which was all fun. We talked, ate and drank... and it was good to just chill with the girls, we cooed over Zayd masha'allah until it was time for the munchkin to go to bed. I was grilled over A and we were disturbed during dessert by the boys coming home, so then I walked back to the train station for a depressing hour travel time back to kingston. Oh and ring update (because we were talking about it that evening) I dont have it yet... they think a extra week..so another 2 weeks insha'allah
Then on Saturday I went to whitechapel to buy some wedding accessories with my friend Davina :D we met outside the station before dhuhr and made our way through the market with me filling her in on A to go pray in whitechapel mosque. I always love being around Davina, shes so open to learning things, always asks me little questions which I try to answer as best as I can. Shes so adorable masha'allah... anyways back to the mission.. so after salah we wandered down the market. Now I was also specifically looking for the stall that sold the imaan jilbabs which I hadnt spotted on my way up, but I was confident it was there. I looked at a few other stalls that were selling good quality abayas (even the same style as the one I had already bought) for good prices. I spotted a few and made a mental note to return there, as we looked at one stall at the pretty white hijabs hanging up I went inside and found the abayas alhamdulillah.. and he was still selling them for a tenner. I decided on one of those and to get 2 abayas from the other stall.. so I paid 27quid for 3 abayas of decent good quality masha'allah, and one of them I wore that day lol :D
After the abayas we took the tube over to finsbury park where I had seen some lil bolero jackets to go with my dress insha'allah.. but its time for work, so thats another blog insha'allah
Oh how I miss the UK. Whitechapel is awsome for all Islamic things. You should check our "Mahir" - they sell some gorges jilbabs for only 25 quid. And they are super fancy shmancy and just lovely for eid's, weddings and etc. :) Try them out next time.
