I found out yesterday from a lady in work, who I think is either 39 or 40, that she can not adopt because she is deemed too old... how crazy is that? At first I didnt want to believe her, but I think she has looked into this. That makes me feel upset, there are so many children without families out there.. why would they stop couples from adopting at that age?? isnt the average age around 80 now?? thats a good 40 years that a child can feel loved and wanted :( breaks my heart really..
Then she went on to talk about how being a mother after 32 you are classed as a mature mother.. do you take that as good or bad?? I didnt know what to say.. I wonder if I will be a mature mother?! Allahu alim
thats my thoughts for now.. Im having a broody day today, hubby has been working and Ive been stuck withonly my own company for the whole day. I dont know how I lived on my own for so long.. honestly!!
So this is my blog, this is my life, this is my world, these are my experiences. Feel free to roam, question and learn with me, comment as we go and leave your prejudices at the door please.

Morocco, with love
If you are an avid reader of my blog, or my life in general, you will know of my wish to eventually adopt a child or two insha'allah. A few weeks ago while excitedly looking through the islamic events feed I have on my blog I found this advertisement
The things she told me were very useful and she later went on to send me a bunch of documents about home studies and uk immigration... Im very excited at the prospect of this and would love to hear from anyone who has been involved in anything like this insha'allah. I also wanted to post the ad for anyone who was seriously thinking about adopting sooner than me too :D insha'allah
KAFALAH / PARENTS REQUIRED FOR MOROCCAN ORPHANSI was soo excited, you just cant believe lol. So of course, I emailed the sister for more details.. granted I wouldnt be adopting soon, but its good to have information there to work with. Alhamdulillah she sent me a speedy response with the starting information I was looking for, she asked a few questions: Have you been married for 5 years or more? Are you or your husband in permanent employment? Are you in good health? Do you have your own accommodation or rented accommodation? (living with family will not be acceptable) Are you willing to take a male child? (there are very few female children available for adoption) If you are single you can still apply as long as you can financially afford to take care of another child.
Moroccan orphanages are
full and conditions are far from perfect.Thousands of babies and children are
looking for loving homes. To be eligible you must have a regular income and have
a homestudy conducted by your social work department. They usually charge
approximately £2000 for the home study. If any brothersand sisters are
interested in adoption please e-mail Zainab at zainab22uk@yahoo.co.uk

Adoption facts
I found this on this blog and just wanted to share.. recently Ive been thinking alot more about the adoption route I would like to take insha'allah and I know there are many things to think of... but its always there in the back on my mind.
1.EVERY DAY 5,760 children become orphans.
2.Approximately 250,000 children are adopted annually, but… every 14,050,000 children still grow up as orphans.
3.EVERY 2.2 SECONDS, another orphan child AGES OUT with no family to belong to and no place to call home.
4.For every child that is adopted, 600 orphans will die.
5.If 7% of Christians adopted 1 child there would be no orphans in the world.
Do you have room at your table for one orphan?
"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me..." Mark9:37a
Fact 5 scares me a little... to think that there are just as many muslims as christians (more depending on what you read) and we should be striving towards increasing the number of the ummah (rhymes hehe) Think about it.
