  1. Ok you know I had to comment on this one ;)

"Ayse Ayata, a feminist professor of sociology at Ankara's Middle East Technical University, said it was now important to protect female students who do not wear the headscarf against possible social pressures to cover up on campus."

Oh come on! I mean really!?? One term comes to mind that all our Mother's have said to us in one form or another "If your friend jumps off the bridge will you??"

I have way too many comments about this headscarf ban...I think I'll refrain from bombarding your blog comments! I'll start my own perhaps! LOL - What are your thoughts on it Ammena ??

  2. salam sis, my comments? I think its good, one step closer to the freedom that we have here in 'the west' (to a certain extend, we all know we arent totally free) I really dont see how not allowing people to wear hijab, or a cross, or a skull cap separates state from religion. They are visual expressions, just because someone doesnt wear them, doesnt mean they dont have a religion.

Please feel free to leave your comments, baring in mind that I dont have to accept them if they show ignorance, hatred or racism.. but I generally accept them all because what free country do we live in if you cant express yourself through my blogs?
