so the weekend is over and Im back to work, on the day shift with little time on the net (although enough to post this heehee) I just wanted to fill you all in on what I did over the last weekend, I went to a convention, yay me!! I drove over to my friends after asr on friday night, which saw me meeting her at her arabic class :) I got to read more of my current book 'Scattered pictures' and we ate some yummy chick peas that I could have eaten all weekend masha'allah. Then we stopped off for a little indian treat which turned out to be not so little masha'allah and then drove back to hers. I got to finally meet her husband alhamdulillah and saw how cute they were together masha'allah, then we tried to organise for the next day and went to bed.
We got there around 10am on saturday and stayed till around 730pm, was such a nice experience alhamdulillah, many good speakers masha'allah (dr bilal philips, abdur rahim green, said rageah, ziaullah khan to name the best IMHO) and I got to see lots of girls that I havent seen in so long.. its surprising how much news spreads in the muslim community here (well maybe no surprise to you, but when it applies to me... it is) many people asked about my upcoming marriage insha'allah. Was good to be in the community with my sisters, and indirectly my brothers too, masha'allah... bought some goodies too :) lots from here, and an adhan clock that was broke when i got home :( after paying $35 gutted? very! I also had some books that my friend bought me from the masjid who sell their books as cost price masha'allah :)
That was my weekend, got back home around 7pm sunday evening and was in work at 730am (woke up at 705 and supposed to start at 7am, oops) No word on the future, Allahu alim... havent really spoken with h2b since last week because of the convention and he is working double shifts over next 2 days.. insha'allah will talk soon, then I will fill you in on the main items.
