So Solid Crew

A teenager of the late 90's in the UK I got into the gangsta rap of the time, So Solid Crew being one of them.. they didnt have the best reputation after members being put away for murder and gun possession but they had some good catchy tunes and a few of the members went solo to give some good beats too.. namely oxide & neutrino, MC Romeo, Lisa Mafia, Asher D and The Reelists. Surprisingly enough they never had that many singles out, but you ask anyone around at the time and they will know them and could quote their most famous song '21 seconds' Anyways... I got into the Reelists after awhile because they were the more soulful group that sprouted from SSC and I liked their music more.. I was just searching for them (I forgot their name) and came across this video from SSC with the lead singer from Reelists... it obviously has music in it, but there are occassional subtitles because of the obvious cockney accent (its just too hard to understand pff!!) there is also some language (which is blurred out in the subtitles) but check it out.. its got a good message to put across

    Lol Ameena ---- Don't remind me Im trying to forget my lil brother was soooo obsessed with them Subhanallah --- In a really over the top way!!!

    He would sing their songs/rap watever for ages in his bedroom until my dad would lose his patience with him and start lectureing about going to hell fire if he ever listend to that again:/
    Though the group had a very bad reputation --- I remember they would get up to all sorts of things leading them to be banged up in jail for long periods of time.

    It's all too...young for me. Never understood the need for rapping. Really weird stuff to say the least. Burn them all I say, :lol:
