Then on Saturday

we decided to stay around the area, in the morning we went to my nana's gravestone with my grandad as I dont think he had been since he got back from his holidays the tuesday before. I didnt mind taking him, he isnt driving now so its harder for him to get around. Hubby took in the area and asked questions later.. then we dropped Grandad home and kicked around the house for abit. He had already shown hubby his war photos, the ships he used to move around the world in while he was chasing Chinese pirates, or 'helping' in the Korean war.. hubby is very interested in all of it so it was good for the two of them to bond alhamdulillah. Grandad had a little sleep then we decided to go out for lunch, we paid, we took some photos (FB!) and hubby called grandad, grandad.. it was a great afternoon. When we got back we dropped him off and went to Asda to do our food shop that we had decided to do cause things might have been cheaper than Sainsbury's, some bits were (we bought them) and some bits weren't (we didnt buy them) then we made our way back home. Picked Grandad up and drove over to my dads for a little tea party for my nephews 4th birthday :) we had bought him some clothes down here so had a little present for him ready.. he wasnt too into presents, or the attention he was getting but we spent a good time there alhamdulillah. After dropping Grandad back home we made our way over to where I used to live before leaving the UK for Canada and popped in to see a few people (also to introduce hubby to more people in my life really) my best friend from school (he really got chatting to her husband who works for a phone company) then my next door neighbours - both sides - one who he had already met so was nice to see the warm reception there masha'allah... then we made our way home after a long day alhamdulillah.
Grandad was already in bed when we got home so we settled down after sorting out all the food stuffs until my the old guy took a slip in the bathroom and banged his head :( Hes still in hospital now, insha'Allah they sort out whats going on so he can return home soon... I know how much being there reminds him of when my Nana died and I wouldnt wish that on my worse enemy. I phone up everyday to find out how he is.. my dad should be just leaving now and it pained me to leave him on Sunday night, we only got to visit for an hour and we left Liverpool before visiting hours started on Monday... Sunday was a bad day... we had been up since around 4am at the hospital (side note... my auntie and Grandad got to see how compassionate and attentive hubby was, she even commented on it, so that was a silver lining alhamdulillah) then instead of the planned trip into the town centre we decided to kick it around my Grandad area then visited him at the hospital in the evening.. it was an eventful weekend, but not one I would like to repeat... insha'Allah next time it wont be as intense
Well hubby is making mixed veg curry tonight, its nearly finished so Ill be leaving you here... peace and salams
