How things are going

Its been a little while and I have meant to post pictures but I just havent gotten around to it. When I get home from work, sometimes Ill turn my computer on but its not really to do things its more to just browse and catch up although I am totally caught up on facebook via my iphone. So thats why its taken me awhile, I had a girl post a comment on my previous blog that needed an email reply and that took me a few days to do for which I apologise and am totally remembering how I said I wouldnt change in my internet doings after I get married lol :D However I love it and would give up so much more for the happiness Im feeling right now, well maybe not right now... as Im working 12-8 tonight (why Im doing this now before leaving for work) which means I wont see him for over 15 hours which hurts to even just think about it :( I think Im going to seriously start looking for a job closer to home after this year or the next few weeks are over with.
So whats new? well for my first free weekend since I got married my mum will be over here :( blah... Im taking her to my uncles house to finalise all his paperwork.. its totally unnecessary but its something that she feels guilty about not doing and I wont hear the end of it if she doesnt do it. Yes its over Eid weekend, which also means the first Eid as husband and wife I wont be with my husband which hurts me to the core and Im not happy about. I keep trying to remember all the Eids in the future insha'allah that we will both be apart of so thats what is keeping me going. I wanted my mum to meet A on this trip, but since mentioning that Ive met someone to her she hasnt said one thing about him. Now it looks like he might be working a few extra hours but I still want him to be there and I dont know how to go about it all. Man, parents are soo annoying... the one person who I thought would have problems with A is the one person who asks how he is and sends his regards in every phone call (my Grandad) so I cant wait for them to meet. Trying to figure out about going up north for Xmas to meet the other side of the family too, its just gonna be cramped and I dunno how to approach the subject with my dad.
As a side note remembering what Ms EyeS mentioned about using this opportunity to lavish and describe my new status and the things he does for me.. well, I might just do that and tell you ladies that he treats me like a princess alhamdulillah. He wont let me do much for myself and I love being outside with him, hes always to hand and protects me without even thinking. He walks next to the road, even when I position myself there he unknowingly moves to the other side so Im not next to the road, I never realised it would be this... comforting... natural.... easy Alhamdulillah.. with hardship comes ease right? Alhamdulillah.
Anyways, its nearly time for me to leave for work and I got to take the washing out the machine.. insha'allah Ill be back real soon... Peace and salams

Bits

Assalamalikum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatu,
insha'allah this post finds you all in the greatest of health and faith (no matter what faith) so its been awhile since I last posted.. its now my weeks anniversary of being a wife and I have to say Im loving it so far. Ive been reading many blogs over the years of wives and family blogs and also I have researched alot (not always intentionally) about talking about ones marriage amongst people, even friends. So I will not be changing this blog into a 'my husband is so good, he does this this and this and never makes me lift that' because there are many people out here on the blogging world who will give in to jealousy and I do not wish to be apart of that. That is not my intention so forgive me and feel free to point it out to me if I go in that direction.. so for now I just wanted to give you a low down on some things that have been happening with us. I also wanted to give more details on my henna night but I feel that Rainbow, Humble muslimah and Happy muslim Mama have done a fantastic job so I direct you to read their blogs and comment there insha'allah I know they would love to read them. I also wanted to show you some of the cards that HMM made for myself and my new husband.. not all of them of course ;) bless her masha'allah.. I also wanted to pass on to Ms EyeS that we talked about you at the henna party, HMM asked who I knew on the blog world and your name came up, guess what!! she reads you too hun! so you aint just writing for me, although I love reading your blogs as like the letters you used to write to me. Which Im waiting for more of by the way lol :D
Ive added a few generic pics here and its time for bed.. so insha'allah I will add more to this tomorrow cause Im off for the whole day and who knows whats planned.. its supposed to be bad weather so maybe it will be staying in day :D Allahu alim. Just to thank everyone who was involved in my last few weeks, I will remember u always with the fondest of memories alhamdulillah

When will I be back?

I have no idea... it wont be over the next few days thats for sure... Im writing this just before I go to bed. Ive just given myself a very lame pedicure, reminded myself why I stopped buying home waxing kits (because they never seem to work on me) and had a ton of food trying to get rid of it from the fridge and freezer. I should be looking at sleeping now, Im working till 12 tomorrow and then Im gonna come back to my hospital pad, pray, eat a lil and pack some things that A wants me to take to the flat tomorrow. Then Im going to get the bus to the flat, drop them off (by which time our mattress should have been delivered giving his brother something to do while hes over here) then take the tube over to East London for my henna party later that night. Im going to take a wander around the shops, see if I can see this Quran for one thing and maybe pick up a few little bits while Im there. So thats my friday night, when Im finished at my henna party I will be coming back to the hospital were 2 of my bessie mates from up north will already be here insha'allah. Who knows what time they will have me up until ;) fun times.. then Saturday Ill be doing stuff with them including taking them to my flat and sprucing up a little over there, then about 6ish will probably make our way over to London for the nikah just after isha.
Saturday night we are staying at our flat, then Sunday I will probably come back to Kingston to get my keys off them and drop them into reception at the hospital.. then Im officially moved out :D Sunday and Monday night we are away at a hotel, back tuesday afternoon and not in work until 12pm Wednesday afternoon woohoo... so maybe late next week or next weekend Ill fill you in somewhat. Im hoping insha'allah that I will be able to upload a few pics on to facebook over the MIA stage of my life so keep a lookout those on my friends list :D
Peace and salams,

One step forward

So today A picked up the keys for our little place, I love it :D it looks so much nicer with no stuff in it now. We can add to our tastes and our desires.. Im already moving the fridge and deciding where to put the wardrobes when we eventually get them. Its very exciting, I went over tonight to drop off a suitcase of stuff so that I can refil it with more stuff to take back tomorrow.
Ive hired a van for wednesday for me to pick up a couch a flat mate is giving us (yes you heard right! masha'allah) and Im going to fill as much stuff as possible into the van with the couch insha'allah. Then anything else I dont get to move (which will be minimal and consist of clothes for me to wear until saturday) I can ask my good mate julia to take over when she drives down her for my nikah and Im going to show her and Dee my new pad.. Sans A :) he left his suit at his old place so he can get changed there insha'allah. Everything is coming together alhamdulillah and the minor moral dilemma sure did clear itself up alhamdulillah when a dear sister gave me cash to buy the Quran as a wedding present. Masha'allah.. truely special sis, truely!

my links

I dont know how many of you mosey on down to my links on either side of my blog but down there on the right I have a random blog list and the blog Im referring to now is here.
The topic of which is a change in the student rules that allows graduates of Cambridge to wear the burkha. Now I dont want to discuss whether or not it should be allowed.. I want to discuss that I think people should have a dictionary when using foreign words cause it confuses the heck out of me!! In this blog entry the quotations used are burkha and veil.. what exactly are they refering to? and I have read the initial article and its just as confusing!! They actually say at the end that noone has requested to wear it lol :D so why change the rules until someone asks? when people are actually asking to be allowed to wear a kilt yet that issue is still under scrutiny lol. what is wrong with these people? I worry constantly about the government's need to change things before they will be labelled racist or prejudiced.. why are you worried?? some political correctness bugs me to the max!!
